Weight Loss Workouts for Men
What’s the number one thing that comes between men and getting a good workout in?
It’s not that we can’t find a friend to run laps with, and it’s definitely not that we’re self-conscious of the way we look in our gym clothes.
Time
Research has shown that the main excuse men use for not getting their daily workout in is because of a lack of time. And with our busy schedules it’s no surprise that people feel like they don’t have enough hours in the day to be able to treat their bodies right.
But the phrase, “something is better than nothing,” applies to more than just frosting on the cake. In fact, studies have been done to prove that even the smallest workout can benefit you in a huge way.
Even Short Workouts Can Have Long Term Results
So if you’ve ever found yourself flipping on the TV rather than lacing up your running shoes because you don’t have a solid hour to workout, set down the remote and get ready to get yourself into shape.
We found a list of workouts from the Men’s Health Big Book of Exercises that won’t take all afternoon but they will get you results:
1. The Leg Matrix – This workout starts with doing a deep squat, bringing your hips down to knee level, keeping your weight centered over both your legs.
Then, after returning to a standing position, take your next squat on just the left leg, then the right.
To finish the exercise off return to the deep squat with both legs and instead of slowly returning to a standing position, use all your power to shoot as high as you can up into the air.
2. Single-Arm Dumbbell Swing – Grabbing your dumbbell with an overhand grip, hold the weight with your arm straight out in front of you and in a natural extension from your shoulder.
Bend at your hips so that your knees form a right angle again and swing the dumbbell down between your knees and as far behind you as you can reach.
As you stand back up thrust your hips forward while swinging the dumbbell back up to chest level. Repeat with the other arm.
Another thing you can do to instantly improve the intensity of your workout is by using a weight loss supplement. Rather than the diet industry just being in the land of women, the market has now turned to making diet pills for men.
One product that we have found to be one of the most effective supplements on the market is Myoripped. Not only does it help you burn fat while building muscle, but it will also increase your levels of testosterone which speeds up your metabolism and helps you lose more weight.
There are no excuses to be unhappy with the body you’re in; whether it’s finding a workout that fits your schedule, or a supplement that fulfills your needs, it’s not worth it to stay unhealthy.
