Even before it was hot, I drank green tea, because I flat out like the taste. I’ve never been a big fan of those iced green teas you find in the grocery store, because even though they say that they only flavor it, they pack it with sugar, even the lemon kind that you would expect to have a slight tang more than anything else. But with the way Americans drink their hot green tea, I see why they do this. Basically speaking, the one time I bought one of those green teas, I had to water it down pouring half of it into another container and pouring more water in, which unfortunately watered down the green tea effect as well, which is really unfortunate.
This being said, if you are drinking green tea, keep in mind that it shouldn’t just taste like sugar. The sugar is meant to give slight compliment to the tea itself. If you can drink it without any sugar or additives of any kind, it’s far better for you as frankly green tea on its own burns off calories. But if you are adding in more calories, you are defeating the whole purpose thereof. So if you are going to use it, use real sugar as artificial sweeteners are really harmful, and just limit yourself to one pack per 8oz cup. Either that or actually use lemon. If you squeeze a little lemon in there, it’s not a bad thing believe it or not, or even one small pack of honey again is not a bad thing.
